Family Pictures

We went to Target and got our pictures made for Maddie's 1st birthday. Here are my favorite ones from the day. They turned out really good considering it was in the middle of nap time!

Adventures

After living in Oklahoma for three years, I am not sure why we finally visited White Water Bay and Frontier City. These are two amusement parks here in Oklahoma. We decided to get season passes for the time we have left here and visit as much as possible. White Water Bay has tons of slides, pools and fun things to do with water. Jacob is in heaven when we go there. His favorite things are the wave pool, the lazy river and jumping off the cliff (my son has no fear of water). He will do the big slides as well. Maddie loves it there too. She loves to be in the water and thinks she doesn't need help from Mommie! They have a kiddie area where the water isn't deep and she can walk around by herself without one of us holding her just following her! We have really enjoyed going every weekend and have a few more weekends to enjoy it!

Frontier City is the amusement park that has tons of rides. The first time we went, Jonathan and Jacob waited in line for two hours to ride the ride and so we left after that because Maddie was worn out from waiting (me as well!). But we've gone back and enjoyed some of the rides. Jacob is a little unsure of the big roller coasters (he gets it from his momma!). But he did the kid swings and the tea cups. We can't wait to go back again and have some fun!!

Jacob Graduates

From Pre-K! I can't believe he will be starting Kindergarten next year. This year has flown by and he has learned so much! We have loved Grove Valley and hate that we will not be there next year.
 Singing two really cute songs.
Getting his Graduation Certificate from his teacher Mrs. Haas.
His wonderful Assistant Teacher Mrs. Jackson.

Mrs. Haas had her own awards to hand out. She had asked each child what they wanted to be when they grew up and Jacob told her he wanted to be a normal person who has a good time :)! Oh the things he says!!
Mrs. Haas, Jacob and Mrs. Straughn (his principal)
 Daddy and Jacob
Jacob and his teacher Mrs. Haas. We LOVED her and will miss her. She was wonderful for Jacob and taught him so much.

Jacob with is certificate for completing Pre-K and his award from Mrs. Haas. He got Mr. Joy in the Moment Award because he could find joy in any situation! We are looking to have a great year in kindergarten next year in Mississippi. I hope we have as great of a teacher as we had with Mrs. Haas. But for now we are going to enjoy our last few weeks in Oklahoma and then the rest of our summer in Mississippi!!

Fun Days in the Sun

We have had some really sunny but HOT days out here in Oklahoma. We decided to get the sprinkler and pool out so the kids could stay cool. Maddie was very unsure of the sprinkler at first, but then would keep going back! Jacob of course LOVES the water! Maddie had just gone to the doctor and gotten her shots, that's why she had bright pink band aids on both legs!
I love this bathing suit. Our good friend, Mrs. Nelson, got it for Maddie for last year and it still fits!!

She thinks this is her door!

Maddie at One!!

Meant to put her one year old stats in the last post, but forgot! So here they are!
Maddie at one:
  • Weight - 19 pounds 6 ounces
  • Height - 30 inches
  • still in size 3 diapers
  • wearing mostly 9-12 month clothes
  • eating three meals a day and snacks, started drinking whole milk
  • using sippy cups (no more bottles, no she's not a baby anymore :( )
  • still sleeping through the night and most days two naps
  • waves and claps at everything!
  • has 12 teeth (they all came in together, only 4 left and two year molars)
  • babbles ALL the time (doesn't say many words yet)
  • has learned to throw tantrums when she doesn't get what she wants (wonder where she learned that from)
  • is into everything, especially whatever her brother has!!
Here's my sweet little boy sporting his Hernando Tigers shirt. We are so proud of Uncle Ben's team for coming in 2nd in the State!! Hopefully one day Jacob will be as great of a baseball player and man as my little brother.

Here are some pictures of them playing outside in the sandbox.
